The original drawing, which started the project, the monday after Tentacles 2007.
another drawing, made during the project.
The Block is made of foam with a coat of filling plaster.
It s a pretty simple construction. MAde with 2 plates of Foam : 120x60cm
The plate closing the top have later been removed to host the electrical system that make some sky bulls fly around the Block.
Peoples sometime ask me how I find the time to do my games : I just have slaves.
The marsh plants were originally looking like that.
But I didn t like the effect, and finally replaced those plants with
aquarium ones : about those, paint them if you want them to looks less
"plastic-like".
The trees are all made of fimo : metal wire squeleton, fimo and then
natural fiber to make the "things' that are on the branchs (if someone
want to translate that sentence in proper english, he s welcome).
Tentacles are fimo too, and the water is GW water.
A general view of the marsh.
First drawing of the tents decorations
The tents are made of (ink drinking paper) and pva glue, on a metal wire structure. Pretty easy and fast to make.
The tents are being decorated with the symbols from the concept
drawing, telling stories about the god's time or the recent history of
Prax.
On the right side of that one you can see, as an exemple, Waha making
the Good Canal to clean the Block's base... All the drawing are first
made in white and then painted in color.
The rocky area wasnt red in the begining. I changed that later to add some contrast.
A général view of the game, at a very early stage.
I made many miniatures, and converted close to all the other for this game.
I made the 3 big bosses (the Devil's Hand, The Eternal Battle and the
Devil's Stomach) with the same material : metal wire structure and some
Fimo.
Here you can see the Devil's Hand metal wire structure.
From different directions.
and now with the Fimo paste.
It have been made in several steps, with a "cooking" stage between each sculpting one to not break what was done previously.
Some WW1 germans in the background, they have no link with the hand.
With the same technic, the avatar of Chaos.
My "paint display" in the background, and the avatar in foreground.
